U.S. Chamber Endorses Congressman Bill Sali
An Ally to Western Idaho’s Business Community

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement of Representative Bill Sali for re-election in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District, praising his strong support for the state’s businesses, both large and small.

“Bill Sali has been a champion for the people of western Idaho and an invaluable leader on important business issues," said Bill Miller, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and political director. "The Chamber believes he will continue to be an effective legislator and supporter of businesses of every size if re-elected.”

Representative Sali is a strong proponent of small business in Idaho, having worked to advocate programs and pro-growth initiatives that create jobs.

“On issues ranging from tax cuts to reducing energy costs, Idaho’s business community has no better friend than Bill Sali," said Miller.

The U.S. Chamber is playing a major role in the upcoming national elections, endorsing candidates who have demonstrated support for business priorities and will work to advance a pro-growth agenda in Congress. In 2006, 222 of the 277 Chamber endorsed candidates were elected.
