Minnick's Campaign: "disingenuous" and "misleading," according to IPT

BOISE, IDAHO – Walt Minnick has conducted a "disingenuous" and "misleading," campaign according to an Idaho Press Tribune editorial on Saturday. The editorial points out that Minnick has been attempting to confuse voters about his record on gun ownership and conservative views.


The Press Tribune argued, "In a region where most folks lean toward Sali's political positions, the Democrat seemingly wanted to lead voters to think he's as conservative as Sali. If that's truly the case, he should have run as a Republican."

The IPT added, "Minnick's constant theme of "see how conservative I am" makes him seem disingenuous and misleading."


"Minnick has consistently misrepresented his views on the issues. By suggesting that he is a conservative, he is avoiding telling voters that he is pro-abortion, in favor of severely restricting gun rights, raising taxes and drastically increasing the size of the federal government," remarked Sali.

Sali added, "The bottom line is, this election is about the future of our country. On Election Day, voters will have a choice between a liberal democrat who pretends to be a conservative and a proven conservative who believes in the values we cherish most in Idaho."
